West End Motors is proud to announce we sponsored a local charity golf day successfully raising funds for Motor Neurons Disease Association (MNDA).
To help sufferers in the Cornwall Branch area, West End Motors sponsored a number of holes at the annual event that took place at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club, helping Bodmin Rotary Club to raise over £7,000 so far.
Teams travelled from across the county to take part in the golf day and support the worthwhile cause and West End Motors incentivised play with the lure of a brand new Vauxhall Corsa as a prize for a hole in one. The prize is yet to be claimed in the 11 years of the event; however, one female golfer came agonisingly close, falling just 5 inches short of the whole.
The team were also on hand to monitor the day’s proceedings as well as encourage golfers. Not only did they keep a close eye on performances and scorecards, but the team also showcased a number of Vauxhall models, including the Corsa and Grandland X.
Andy Coppin, Sales Manager at West End Motors, commented: “We are delighted we were able to be a part of this special day and to have raised £7,000 for such a deserving cause is just fantastic. The golf course always seems to unleash everyone’s competitive side and so it was a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know more of the community on a personal level.
“We’d like to say thank you to all the golfers that took part and supported MNDA. The charity is remarkable so we are thrilled to be able to contribute towards the brilliant work they do and help raise vital funds for local causes.”
