West End Motors rooting for a hole in one

Local Vauxhall dealer, West End Motors, is delighted to be continuing its support of the annual Charity Golf Day hosted by the Rotary Club of Bodmin on Friday 6th May, by offering up a brand new Vauxhall as a prize.

Golfers from all over the South West will be competing for the win at this popular golfing event, open to all and held at the Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club in aid of Motor Neurone Disease.

West End Motors, as a key sponsor of the event, is offering Vauxhall’s urban-chic city car, the VIVA, as a prize for any hole-in-one achieved on the sixth hole. This stylish model will also be showcased on the sixth tee area, spurring on the participants for that all-important hole-in-one.

Andy Coppin, Sales Manager at West End Motors, comments: “At West End Motors, we are committed to supporting charities within our local community. It gives us great pleasure to sponsor this fantastic event again and do our bit towards raising money for such a worthwhile cause.

“Last year saw over 180golfers across 45 teams raise approximately £6,000 for the Cornwall branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which gives financial and practical help to sufferers and their families, and it is hoped that this years’ event will be just as successful.”

Mary Frost, Branch Co-ordinator and Associated Visitor of the Cornwall Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, adds: “We would like to thank everyone involved in making this fundraiser possible as the money raised makes a big difference to funding our services. Motor Neurone Disease affects around 5,000 people in the UK, leaving people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. All of the money raised from this event stays within Cornwall, helping local people affected by this fatal disease.”

A brand new VIVA is not all that is on offer at the event, as locals will also be given the opportunity to view a selection of Vauxhall’s other impressive vehicles, including the New Astra, which arrived in showrooms earlier this year. Joining the new supermini on display in front of the hotel will be the MOKKA and the Corsa, demonstrating the range of models available to suit every type of driver.

Andy adds: “We would like to invite everyone to come down to Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club to take a look at the Vauxhall range on display and have their chance to get up close and personal with some of our newest models. It is also the perfect opportunity to speak to one of our team of experts about the diverse selection of vehicles we have on offer.”
